$13 6-max

Interesting only because it's probably the loosest $13 6-max table I've ever played at. Should've bet the river on Hand 80 but fortunately all's well that ends well.... Still want to see Klokkhammer's replay!

  1. I've haven't watched your game yet, but wanted to thank you for reminding me to post klokkhammer's game. I have the hh, but forgot to post it due to all the christmas commotion this week. It will be up tonight!

  2. Good stuff Benko! I haven't had time to review until now. The two lag maniacs going at eachother almost every hand the first orbits is pretty funny. I picked 7even to get HU with you after approx. 15 hands. This was so loose that it looked like the 3,25/6 turbo which I have played a lot. Nice button moves at bubbletime! Interesting pf call on his raise last hand. I've noticed that both you and Roland like to call almost every hand from SB when HU....... As you know, I prefer to fold more junk hands pf from SB (but then again, I also protect my BB harder).

  3. Hand 2 is quite interesting. The blind calls your raise assuming a steal I guess, albeit very early. Then he bets oop on the flop. This type of bet almost always is a sign of weakness. Anyone with two pair or trips would normally slowplay expecting you to raise. Howver, your flat calling on every street seemed like expesive pot control. I typically reraise on the flop just to find out where I stand. Nice pot though.
Hand 4 is similar but the opposite. If my flop bet gets called on a wet board, I tend to slow down check folding so early.
Hnd 11 you get a minireraise with a pocket pair vs a lag. I usually limp low pairs so early, but if I do get in this situation I feel like the odds make it worth calling. What are your thoughts on this one?
    h17 nice catch!
18 nice agression vs the passive sb on the scary flop!
31 I tend to raise with small pairs when the sb completes. It seems to get them to fold more from the sb and wins plenty of pots without a fight. Sometimes I'll check for variation hoping to flop a hidden monster set.
32 raising w bottom pair oop on the flop vs two players!? What are your thoughts?
3 way up to hand 72: pretty standard ABCpoker. Looks solid!
h80 nice catch with the trips lol! Im making a smallish raise on the river rather than hoping hoping for a check raise. He might fold, but he might go over the top getting all the chips in the middle too...
h82 j8o is an above average hand. I typically raise against non-agro hu players. Same with h 83
Bold call pf on the last hand.

Very nice game benko! I enjoyed seeing how you play.

  4. Valid comments all! Thanks for taking a look. A lot of the plays you wondered about are explainable (if not excusable!) by previous events at the table....

Hand 2 Agree that reraising the flop (or turn) may have been better but he bet so little on all three streets that I think calling all the way was okay that early in the SNG. On the flop, he bet only 20 into a pot of 140 so with two overcards and backdoor straight and flush draws, I decided to keep the pot small and flat call. Once I hit two pair, top kicker on the turn on a wet board, I was committed to (at least) calling two small bets, 40 into a pot of 180 on the turn and 100 into a pot of 260 on the river.

Hand 4 followed directly from Hand 2. Against the same, loose opponent, I assumed (incorrectly) that my TPGK was good so I check called the flop and bet both the turn and the river for value.

Hand 11 After I opened to 60 and was minreraised by the same opponent immediately behind me, there was actually another reraise to 340, hence the fold.

Hand 17 Again, the flop bet was so little (90 into a pot of 315) and the implied odds were so good at such a loose table that I made the call with a GS and an overcard and for once was rewarded by filling the straight.

Hand 31 Always good to mix up one's play but with relatively deep stacks I will often check the option in the big blind with a small pair and hope to flop a set and play a big pot. It helps to have a SB who will check the hand down when you both miss!

Hand 32 For better or worse, this was a table image play. I felt like OOP I had been check folding my weak hands and betting my good hands too often and that people wete beginning to notice, so here I led out with bottom pair. Probably a waste of 60 chips.

Hand 80 Definitely should have bet the river.

Hand 82 Heads up I wouldn't normally attack a button limp with a hand like J8o. I'd rather raise with a stronger hand for value or with complete junk.

Hand 83 Heads up I would normally raise with KTo from the button but he had been attacking my button limps so I limped here with one of my stronger hands.

Hand 87 MrSmith, yes, with relatively deep stacks I'll at least limp with ATC from the button getting 3:1 odds unless my opponent starts attacking the limps. Here he only raised to 3BB so I was getting 2:1 odds to call and play a pot in position. With relatively deep stacks, I'd still fold the complete junk and hands like Kxo which are easily dominated but I like 97o in that situation.

  5. Nice comments benko! As usual, you have sound reasons for the lines you took. GG

Your widened starting range is making you much harder to read and thus a more dangerous opponent.
