Here is one of my games from last night. What do you think of my line in HH 47? I'm very short stacked if I fold, and I figured I was ahead of part of his range. Thus the call.
The final table starts at HH 58. What are your thoughts about the final hand in particular. An ICM fold just seems insane for one of these turbos. Any other comments would be more than welcome. Roland
Bad beat, nothing u could have done different there at the end. HH19 HH22 HH25 HH32 HH33 HH35 HH51 I might have played these differently for some variation in style. Depends on the table tho. GG, UL.
Are you playing 19 and 22? Generally, I stop playing sc (or worse like the 104s) once the blinds get to 50/100. Yes, I have a stack, but the players after me don't. In order for me to play 104s in HH19, there would need to be another limper in the pot.
In HH22 I have a low sc 67, but the action folded to me and the blinds are 50/100. I only play this if there are two limpers already in the pot. If I were on the btn, I could consider raising 2.5x though. I think this is the standard Moshman line.
HH32 and 51. My AK and KK shoves might be too agro losing value. Probably the result of losing these hands so often lately.
HH35 I raise from the btn w QJs and the bb reraises all in. What are you doing differently here?
HH19 1 limper at 100 level is enough for me to waste another 50 here. Another limper would be nice, as it should tighten the postflop actions and possible give another free card. I like your note. H22 67 is the lowest sc I'll limp up to 50/100 level with decent stack. HH35 excellent fold anyway. I might have both folded, limped and raised like u, all depends on the read I have on the players in the blinds. QJs is a hand that has gotten me in trouble too any times, so it's a hand I really don't like (even in position).
HH35: I'm surprized to hear that you might fold QJs here! For me this is a pretty standard hand. I make a steal raise from the btn with a fairly decent hand and get a resteal shove in my face.
If he is smart then he is making that move with any A, most Ks, any pocket pair and any broadway hand. About the only hand I'm beating is J10, so calling seems out of the question with my stack.
I guess limp folding is an option, but again the hand seems too strong (or too weak) for that.
Lots of room for variation in style and of course it depends a lot on the flow of the game and one's reads which only the player can really experience but here goes....
HH19 I wouldn't call folding a mistake but I think the other two stacks are big enough to make a 50 chip investment worthwhile with T4s.
HH22 I don't like to open limp especially from latish position so looks like a fold to me given the two short stacks behind.
HH25 Would probably open raise but limping is okay.
HH32 It is a turbo but with an M of 10 I think it's too early to be pushing with AKo from 1B when the big stack is sitting in the BB. I would make a normal raise and see what happens.
HH34 Is "caysewell" John Duthie's online handle? lol Nice to see the jacks hold up against A9.
HH35 Absent a read, I would take the same line as Roland. 2.5x the BB is good but if my standard raise has been 3xBB I might do that since the BB sometimes (often correctly) interprets the lower raise as indicating weakness.
HH47 I could go either way on this one. His M is superlow and he's about to blind out so his hand range is very wide and you're getting 2:1 odds. On the other hand, you'll be crippled if you lose the hand so essentially you're calling off (almost) all your chips when you could have only 30% equity (if he's tight) or 58% equity as it turned out. On the third hand, it is a turbo. On the fourth, hand you still have an M of about 3 if you fold with a chance. On balance, probably a call but I would think about it. Something like AT+ would be an instacall for me.
HH51 With an M around 4 I would also push with KK.
HH61 I'm not folding here but isn't this where you're supposed to run the Stop and Go? lol

I'm curious what benko has to say about this one.
Me too. Like I said, it's just a hand I really hate. What say u Benko?
