Well, what can u say

Hi friends,

thanks a ton for a great live game yesterday. I haven't been playing much during the last months, and probably I'm getting a bit too rusty for this.
Kind of tired of all those bad beats, and heading to play away the rest of the stack that I've been playing with for the last 3 years.

PS is doing a great job these days, and I got a nasty Déjà vu.

Not much you can do about something like that, lol.

  1. Ouch - That was a major cooler!

    On a serious note though, your betting line might have had an impact on the outcome. That early in the game, I would prefer to see a preflop reraise with KK rather than flatting with two opponents. Either or both may be sitting on pocket pairs or Ax hands. Had you reraised, you may have won this hand without even seeing a flop and picked up 150 chips (10%) of your stack.

    As played, what was you thought process behind the oversized reraise on the flop? A2, 88 and AA are all in the villain's range, and on such a dry board then pretty much the only hands that are calling you are ones that have you beat. If he has A8 or an overpair like JJ, QQ, then a smaller reraise might get him to play along or even shove on you increasing the value you get out of the hand.

    The K in the turn doomed you. No one is ever laying down Ks over 2s.

    I probably would have gotten stacked here as well, MrE. I just wanted to point out that it might have been avoidable, especially with a preflop 3-bet.

    GL!

    PS: If you plan on spewing your bankroll, let me know when you are playing so that I can have a chance at it:)

  2. I'm with Roland on this, you can't get away from the hand once the K falls on the turn.

    This is an example of a hand played today in a 2,50/180;

    I'm not getting away from this if I am going to bet the flop oop, which I did. Both the f....s called my preflop rr, and I don't have enough behind to bet the flop and then fold. Maybe a shove preflop instead?
